GETTING INTO WRESTLING

Nicole Raczynski - the real name of the TNA Voodoo Queen Roxxi LeVeaux - came from a family that shared an interest in professional wrestling. As a child Raczynski attended events at the Boston Garden. Her athletic prowess resulted in her development as a wrestler when she trained under Killer Kowalski after being urged to by April Hunter who was also training with Kowalski at the time. Her professional debut came in March of 2001 where she formed a tag team with Hunter - The Killer Babes.

Since becoming a professional wrestler Nikki Roxx has wrestled several North American independent promotions such as SHIMMER Women’s Athletes - appearing on every single volume thus far - Squared Circle Wrestling, Women’s Extreme Wrestling, Professional Girl Wrestling Association, Chaotic Wrestling, Ring of Honor, Women’s Extreme Wrestling, New England Championship Wrestling and World Women’s Wrestling. Nikki Roxx also wrestled in Mexico as a means of improving her in-ring style.

Roxx has spoke candidly in many ‘shoot-style’ interviews about the business and on more than one occasion has been directed to the issue of T&A. Roxx wrote on her official website, “I understand that T&A is a part of the sport now. Some parts of wrestling are merely entertainment, and that’s as far as T&A should go…mere entertainment. I don’t think there is any serious room for it in the ring. Granted, you can look attractive, but you should also be able to wrestle. You can be pretty AND kick ass, girls!” And Roxx does just that.

Six years after turning pro Roxx got her call to TNA where she adopted an odd gimmick known as the ‘Voodoo Queen’. Aligned with Kip James and BG James - the Voodoo Kin Mafia, Roxxi LeVeaux (her current ring name) was used as an equalizer to the vindictive red-head known as Christy Hemme. Quickly though LeVeaux began getting competitive inside of the ring and holds victories over all of the knockouts - albeit under battle royal stipulations.

BALD VOODOO QUEEN

Their first piece of business however was with the Voodoo Queen Roxxi LaVeaux. After being fired by the Voodoo Kin Mafia, Roxxi found herself in limbo. The generous Beautiful People told Roxxi that she had won a make-over courtesy of the pair. Against her will Roxxi LaVeaux underwent a make-over which ended up in a backstage brawl.

As a result Angelina Love and Velvet Sky planned on destroying Roxxi LaVeaux. At Lockdown in April 2008 Angelina Love and Roxxi met inside of the six sides of steel. Angelina Love came up short when Roxxi hit the Voodoo Drop. Angelina though was left laughing in May at the Sacrifice event when she cost Roxxi a ladder match which meant she had to have her head shaved.
