OVER-NIGHT EXTREME
Kelly - known personally as Barbara Blank - signed with the WWE after being scouted in modelling catalogue. Blank was a bikini model for Hawaiian Tropic and Venus Swimwear when John Laurinaitis offered her a developmental contract. With no wrestling experience under her belt she signed with company and was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling for training. Even when called up to the roster she continued to report back to OVW whilst travelling with ECW. In OVW she acted first as a ring announcer, then as a referee and eventually as a wrestler. One of her first OVW matches was her participating in a battle royal won by O.D.B.June 13 2006 saw Barbara Blank debut under the alias of Kelly Kelly - the explanation behind the second Kelly is still unknown. Her gimmick was that of an exhibitionist and as a result stripped to her underwear weekly. Eventually her on-screen boyfriend interrupted and for the following weeks began dragging her way much to the dismay of the fans. Eventually Mike Knox began taking Kelly to ringside with him so he could keep an eye on her. Kelly then began stripping with other divas across the rosters most notably Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson. Her in-ring debut came in a six-person tag match which she lost.
KELLY <3'z CM Punk
Following the development Kelly became infatuated with CM Punk leading to an even more jealous Mike Knox. During a Halloween Contest on ECW Kelly appeared dressed in CM Punk attire which caused Mike Knox to snap. Kelly was provided with
the opportunity to redeem herself at December to Dismember but failed to win over Ariel and Kevin Thorn when Knox dropped
off the apron leaving Kelly all alone. The next ECW saw Kelly beat Ariel in a singles match, after Knox came to the ring
with flowers to apologise but instead chucked them at Kelly and then followed through with a swinging reverse STO to
officially show the break up between the two. Kelly was sidelined for six weeks.
She returned to television on January 16 2007 she returned announcing she was single. Matt Striker proceeded to the ring insulting Kelly which then set up a singles match between himself and CM Punk. Striker lost the match when, unknowingly to CM Punk, Kelly exposed her breasts long enough to distract Striker.
EXTREME EXPOSE
Extreme Expose acted as a weekly dance segment on the ECW show for months until The Miz was also placed on the ECW brand in the annual draft lottery, at which point all three ladies began actively pursuing him. Later, however, Kelly shifted her attentions towards the much more slovenly looking Balls Mahoney, to the amusement of the Miz and her Exposé sisters who had been spending their time mocking his look.It was revealed that The Miz owned the contracts of Extreme Expose - something that didn't sit too well with Kelly. In spite of potentially ruining her career, Kelly went out on a date with Balls Mahoney in London, England. A furious Miz began berating Kelly which eventually led to Layla scoring a singles victory over the blonde bombshell.
Eventually The Miz grew tired of Kelly, especially after capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside John Morrison. The rivalry between Kelly and Layla however was far from finished. The two continued getting inside of the ring in singles matches and mixed tag team matches for late-2007 and early-2008.
