BREAKING INTO THE BUSINESS
An athletic geek - or at least she was when she appeared on The Jenny Jones Show. Angel Williams has her head screwed on, so much so that she graduated from college with a diploma in Sports Administration. The achievement was put into effect as she became a personal trainer but later found herself training to become a professional wrestler. Angel made her in-ring debut in 2000, but also found herself acting as a valet to current TNA stars such as Chris Sabin and Eric Young.Like many other wrestlers, Angel Williams has given herself up for the sport. Her list of injuries include two concussions, a dislocated patella and losing part of her nostril! But that doesn’t stop Angel. After a stint in WWE’s developmental territory Deep South Wrestling, Angel took to Mexico as she competed in AAA. Under the alias of Canadian Angel - although she was billed from Memphis - she tangled up with ladies such as Cinthia Moreno.
AN ANGEL IN THE DEEP SOUTH
Her time in Deep South Wrestling though was valuable to the career of Angel Williams. Upon entry she managed Johnny Parisi and later went her own way as a singles competitor. On September 8 2005 Angel won her first DSW match against current WWE Diva Michelle McCool. The matches continued for Angel until she suffered an injury early-2006. From February to September 2006 Angel spent time rehabilitating from a torn ACL.The return to Deep South Wrestling was very high-profile for Angel as she began feuding with the DSW General Manager - Krissy Vaine. The General Manager continued to cost Angel matches, and eventually the two brawled inside the offices of the DSW GM. By March 2007 though Angel’s perception had changed, she earned herself a promotion and became co-General Manager alongside Krissy Vaine, the pair citing that together they were unstoppable.
TOTAL NON-STOP ANGELINA
After travelling the Independent scene Angel was contacted by TNA who were looking to start a women’s division. Angel Williams had previously worked for the promotion in 2004 against Trinity among others. Angel made her 2007 in-ring debut for TNA at the Bound for Glory event where she came up short in the fight to become the first ever TNA Women’s Champion. Angel had a second pay-per-view appearance at Genesis 2007 where she again lost to champion Gail Kim, and other challengers ODB and Roxxi LeVeaux in a fatal fourway match.INTRODUCING THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
The newly named Angelina Love went in search of alliances in TNA. Soon enough the blonde Knockout found Velvet Sky (Talia Madison). After aiding Gail Kim in her battles with Awesome Kong the two decided enough was enough and dubbed themselves 'The Beautiful People'. The two Knockouts boasted of their superior looks and talent and consequently set their sights on Knockouts Gold.Their first piece of business however was with the Voodoo Queen Roxxi LaVeaux. After being fired by the Voodoo Kin Mafia, Roxxi found herself in limbo. The generous Beautiful People told Roxxi that she had won a make-over courtesy of the pair. Against her will Roxxi LaVeaux underwent a make-over which ended up in a backstage brawl.
As a result Angelina Love and Velvet Sky planned on destroying Roxxi LaVeaux. At Lockdown in April 2008 Angelina Love and Roxxi met inside of the six sides of steel. Angelina Love came up short when Roxxi hit the Voodoo Drop. Angelina though was left laughing in May at the Sacrifice event when she cost Roxxi a ladder match which meant she had to have her head shaved.
Has Angelina Love, and tag team partner Velvet Sky, dug a hole they will not be able to get out of? Are they in to deep?
