RESPECT Magazine - Issue #10

Professional wrestling’s very own Cookie Monster took the honour of the front cover for Issue #10 of RESPECT. In her continued bid to shake off the shackles of teenage innocence, Portia Perez was hell bent on not mincing her words. Rather, Perez set her sights on former foes and let us all know that she was the greatest thing in the business.

During the interview Portia enlightens us on her SHIMMER rivalry with veteran Allison Danger, forming a successful partnership with Nicole Matthews and how she the prospect of injuries affects her.

‘The Wrestling Goddess’ Athena takes time out of her busy schedule to talk to RESPECT about her career so far. The Texas based wrestler talks to us about her inspirations in the business, training under the six-time World Heavyweight Champion Booker T and shares her opinion on diversity in wrestling.

We also talk about her long-standing rivalry with Anarchy Championship Wrestling’s Rachel Summerlyn. “There is so much hate, frustration and respect in every match I have with Rachel,” explains Athena when asked about her series of bouts.

We take a close look at the return of former WWE Intercontinental and Women’s Champion, Chyna. ‘The Ninth Wonder of the World’ resurfaced in wrestling circles when she joined TNA ahead of their Sacrifice pay-per-view.

RESPECT questions whether the return of Chyna is necessary and looks at potential scenarios that could make the former Diva an asset to the company she has now joined.

Elsewhere in the magazine we take a look at the shock temporary departure of Kharma from WWE, the ever increasing hype surrounding Jessicka Havok and review the monster 4-Year Anniversary show of WSU.
