RESPECT Magazine - Issue #1
The first-ever RESPECT magazine features focus on an array of women’s wrestlers of past and present. Primarily though we take a look at upstart European promotion, Pro Wrestling: EVE who have been at the forefront of women’s wrestling fans minds for some time. With a roster bolstering with talent including The Alpha Female, Britani Knight and Saraya Knight, the promise of the promotion is at an all-time high.
We preview what we should come to see from the company and talk with its owner Dann Read ahead of their debut show. Elsewhere we preview the looming US debut of legendary joshi wrestler, Manami Toyota. CHIKARA will play host to the foreign star when she joins them for a series of matches against Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey.
With the passing of former World Wrestling Federation creep show Luna Vachon, we take a close look at her legacy. Despite never holding the WWF Women’s Championship, Vachon remains a prominent figure in the organisations history as both an accomplished wrestler and manager. With a client list including names such as Goldust and Shawn Michaels, it’s no wonder that Luna is remembered as one of the best.
In the ‘Wrestler Spotlight’ we look at first-ever SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. ‘The Queen of Wrestling’ has been part of the business for eight years now and it’s no surprise that she’s leading the wrestling revolution. We give you plenty of reasons why you should track down an abundance of Del Rey matches.
In a ‘Fantasy Warfare’ edition we put one World Wrestling Entertainment up against Independent grappler. Former WWE Women’s Champion Melina clashes with triple-crown title holder MsChif. Ian Henson assesses who will triumph in a fantastical match pitching two of wrestling’s most diverse and unique workers.
We also review SHIMMER Volume 29 and look at the possibility of Alundra ‘Madusa’ Blayze joining the hallowed WWE Hall of Fame.
