NEW DIVAS CHAMPION ON THE HORIZON?

Name: Mickie James -||- Position: #1 -||- Last Week: #1
Night of Champions: Mickie put up a good fight against the very technically sound and cunning Katie Lea. Several times during the match Katie looked to have Mickies number but the ever resourceful Mickie James fought her to way victory. However had Katie simply used this match to weaken the champion both mentally and physically? We’ll soon see. Mickie best watch her back.

RAW: Just one night after defending the title Mickie was in action again, this time against the songstress Jillian Hall. Again Mickies opponent worked on one part of Mickies body, helping to weaken the champion even more, again Mickie proved too much for her opponent and one the match with an awesome Mick Kick. Seems you can’t keep this champ down!


Name: Michelle McCool -||- Position #2 -||- Last Week: #6
On Smackdown! Michelle was apart of the five diva grab the star match for the chance to take on Natalya for the soon to be Divas championship. Several times in the match McCool looked down and out but she fought back and won the match. Will McCool be loving life with a win for the new title or will Natalya’s far superior wrestling skills be too much for McCool?


Name: Katie Lea Burchill -||- Position #3 -||- Last Week: #4
Night of Champions: Katie really took it to Mickie during their much anticipated singles match. Several times Katie looked to have Mickie beaten. Though Mickie won Katie truly weakened the champion during the match, so much so Mickie still bore the signs of war on Raw. Is this Katie’s plan? Is she hoping to beat Mickie down to the point of submission?

RAW: Though Katie wasn’t in action on Raw she was still casuing trouble, new blood to Raw Jamie Noble introduced himself to the lovely Katie but wound up facing Kane! Whilst Katie’s flirting can do damage if she is going to get her hands on the WWE Women’s championship she needs to focus more on her wrestling rather than her manipulation.


Name: Victoria -||- Position #4 -||- Last Week: #3
Another contestant in the battle for the star this week, though Victoria lost she put on a good show. Several times Victoria looked to have the star in hand only for it to be taken away by McCool. Will this push the Viscous Vixen over the edge or will she help her current ‘best friend’ Natalya when she faces McCool? Either way McCool best watch her back.


Name: Maryse -||- Position #5 -||- Last Week: #5
Another contestant on the losing end of the battle for the star, but much like Victoria Maryse showed her vicious side and came close to winning. Whilst Maryse didn’t win this is another strong showing from the blonde bombshell, if Natalya or McCool win could a shot be in Mayrse’s future?


Name: Kelly -||- Position #6 -||- Last Week: #7
Firm crowd favourite Kelly showed a lot of potential this week on Smackdown! however this potential wasn’t enough to secure a win for the ever smiling Kelly. Should Kelly focus more on wrestling than pleasing the fans?


Name: Cherry -||- Position #7 -||- Last Week: #8
Yet another contestant in the battle for the star match. Did Cherry’s lack of ring skills/ confidence stop her from winning? Should she focus more on her aggression if she’s ever to get a shot at the Divas Championship?


Name: Jillian Hall -||- Position #8 -||- Last Week: N/A
Finally the songstress known as Jillian Hall takes on the Women’s Champion. Whilst it was a none-title match Jillian certainly showed she was champion material as she cleverly focused much of her attention and aggression on the weakened arm of Mickie James. Whilst its always a pleasure to see Jillian in action are her diva ways getting in the way of her being taken seriously?


Name: Natalya Neidhart -||- Position #9 -||- Last Week: #2
This week saw Natalya making her presence known during the battle for the star match. Natalya provided commentary whilst the other ladies battled it out. Whilst I’m sure Natalya would’ve liked her ‘best friend’ Victoria to win it should be noted she didn’t look at all bothered when she didn’t. One thing Natalya doesn’t lack is confidence, but could her confidence turn to arrogance and could she underestimate the ever improving Michelle McCool?


Name: Layla -||- Position #10 -||- Last Week: #9
Whilst Layla was not featured on WWE TV this week it could be safe to assume the young starlet is gearing up for Raw debut. Will she be looking to make an impact? Is she after Mickies title? Only time will tell.


THE ONE TO WATCH

Michelle McCool - This Week: #2

Capturing the Star on Friday means that Michelle McCool is a #1 Contender to the debuting Divas Championship. Whilst her opponent is Natalya Neidhart - a wrestler with eight years experience - it could very well be a competent diva with the WWE style perfected capturing the Divas Championship.

Beth Phoenix has continued to sit on the sidelines; but is it through choice? Katie Lea Burchill has her mind on gold, and Jillian tried to overcome the Champion last week. Is Beth Phoenix looking for the right time to make her mark?

Newly drafted SmackDown! Diva Maria has yet to make her debut on the blue brand. The popular diva has many doors open to her. Just which door will she walk through?
